Visitors
are advised to have a valid certificate for Yellow Fever immunization.
Malaria is rare at the Centre, but we advise use of mosquito nets
(provided). If you plan to travel elsewhere in Kenya, consult your
doctor for up-to-date details about prevention and cure of malaria.
Drink only bottled water, or water that you know is sterilized and
filtered. The US Government’s Center for Disease Control website
further discusses health risks in Kenya; see www.cdc.gov/travel.
Note. All researchers are advised to have Flying Doctor's membership before arrival unless they have another international medical evacuation plan.MRC management can facilitate this.
"As their first PhD. Kenyan student, I think
MRC is a great place to do research... "
